Kyle Fiore Law, Ph.D.

Kyle is a moral psychologist at the intersection of social psychology, cognitive science, and ethical philosophy trying to make the world a better place for living beings now and in the future. His research spans across four distinct but interrelated lines of inquiry: (1) Mapping the cognitive, affective and moral architecture of altruistic equality; (2) Investigating the causes and consequences of intergenerational beneficence; (3) Clarifying the roles of affect and cognition in driving equitable and effective prosocial attitudes and behaviors; and (4) Harnessing laboratory insights to usher collective action and real-world consequences at the level of individuals and society.

Prior to joining the Morality Lab as a Postdoctoral Researcher in 2024, Kyle pursued graduate studies in Social and Personality Psychology at SUNY Albany in Dr. Brendan O’Connor’s Imagination and Cognition Lab, where he received his MA in 2021, and his PhD in 2024. Prior to that, he received his BA from SUNY New Paltz in 2016, where he studied psychology, evolutionary studies, and economics.
