Seoyeon Bae

Seoyeon is broadly interested in empathy, prosocial behavior, and human-AI interaction. She has incorporated technologies into studying psychological concepts: building empathetic chatbots and enhancing people’s empathy ability through VR. In her Ph.D., she wants to study moral AI and the relationship between empathy and prosocial behavior. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Seoul National University and her M.A. in Cognitive Psychology from the same university at the Human Factors Psychology Lab. Seoyeon will start as a Ph.D. student in the Morality Lab in the Fall of 2024.
